The year started off with the usual activities:
On October 12th 2019 the school had its annual Career Day for the Form 4 class of 2019.
The Form 4 students and their parents had the chance to get career advice from colleges and universities both local and international, Tertiary institutions, IGCE colleges and schools were also represented.
At the end of the day the students and their parents were more informed about the options available for them.
On the 21st September 2019 the school held its annual prize giving day. It was a bright and colorful Saturday afternoon. Students, school staff and parents all had a share in the awards. The Form 4 and Standard 8 classes of 2019 had their graduation. There were pieces of entertainment from students and the usual ‘zilizopendwa’ staff performance.
The rangers left school on the 14th August 2019 for Amboseli for the camp.
It was 3 days of fun, learning and sports. They were able to visit the Amboseli National Park, cross the Kenyan Tanzania Border to visit the Kilimanjaro National park through the Rongai route.
They returned on the 17th August 2019 exhausted but happy.
Uandishi ni nguzo muhimu katika ufunzaji wa lugha. Ujuzi wa uandishi umechangia pakubwa kwa waelekezi kuweza kueneza lugha mbalimbali na kufanikisha mawasiliano kwa watu wengi katika maeneo mbalimbali. Wanafunzi wengi hukosa kufanya mazoezi ya kuandika na kama njia moja ya kuwapa motisha, niliwahimiza (Evans Mosoti) washiriki katika shindano la uandishi wa insha.
Gazeti la Taifa Leo limekuwa likiandaa shindano la insha kila mwezi. Shindano hili huhusisha wanafunzi kutoka shule mbalimbali kote nchini ambao huwa katika maeneo saba. Majina ya washindi kumi bora kutoka kila eneo huchapishwa kwa gazeti huku mshindi akituzwa baada ya kila mwezi. Shindano kuu la kujishindia karo litakalowashirikisha washindi wa kila mwezi, litaandaliwa mara moja pekee mwishoni mwa mwaka.
Mwezi wa Mei, wanafunzi wawili waliweza kuibuka kati ya kumi bora, na mmoja wao kuchukua nafasi ya kwanza katika eneo la Nairobi. Job Mugane, aliyekuwa bingwa wa eneo la Nairobi, alipata fursa ya kuzuru jumba la ‘Nation’. Aliweza kukutana na afisa mkuu mtendaji aliyempongeza na vilevile mhariri wa Taifa Leo aliyemkabidhi hundi. Isitoshe, alipewa ziara fupi ya studio za NTV, QTV na Nation FM.
Shindano la mwezi wa Juni lilichangamkiwa na wanafunzi wengi. Matokeo yaliyochapishwa yalikuwa na wanafunzi sita wa Strathmore kati ya kumi bora eneo la Nairobi. Wanafunzi wamejitolea na tunatarajia kufanya vyema katika miezi iliyobaki inshallah.

To break the monotony of daily school routine, each class enjoyed a day out for excursion.
This year’s talent show featured mostly the arts category: Music, Drama, fine art and Digital Photography. The presentations were from both the Primary and Secondary sections.
The Roller Blading club attended a roller blading competition at La Salle School in Karen on the 23rd March 2019. Ethan Mallowah of Grade 2 emerged the best, bagging a Gold medal!
Robert Otieno, a Form 1 student and member of the science club beat all odds starting humbly with a scientific idea of a vacuum car engine.
He managed to convince the judges at the sub county and county levels of the Kenya science and Engineering Fair (KSEF) competition emerging 9th Out of 88 and 6th Out of 31 respectively.
17th March 2019 the research team attended the regional research competition in which Noah Midikira F3 emerged the best presenter.
