On Saturday 18th February 2023 we had the chance to host the historic Strathmore@60 Touch Rugby tournament which included teams from the Strathmore School Rugby alumni and Strathmore University Rugby Alumni and fraternity. The Occasion had a total of 16 teams which participated in the tournament.

Past students from the different years came together to form teams and had a chance to have lots of fun and remember the ‘good old days in school’. The tournament started in the morning at 9am and by 4pm teams were awarded for performance and participation. It was a memorable and fun day for our Alumni, current students and the University’s Alumni.

We hope this was the start to more of the Alumni interactions with the current students.

Today we had mass to give thanks for the academic performance for the Standard 8 and Form 4 classes of 2022.

The chaplaincy organised to have mass at the courtyard next to the library. The mass was well attended by the former candidate classes, students and pupils, parents and teachers.

After the mass; the parents and former candidates were treated to snacks as they chatted and went down memory lane.

We thank God for the results and pray for the students to transition well to the next level in life.

The school opened its doors for the 2023 Academic Year on 23rd January 2023. The opening General Assembly was held on the same day. Various speakers exhorted the students to start working hard from Day 1 in all aspects of their lives. The General Assembly was followed by election of team captains and vice-captains.

Form 1 pupils reported to school on Tuesday, 24th January 2023, while their Grade 7 counterparts made their debut on Wednesday, 25th January 2023 eager to write their beautiful history as pioneers of CBC. Grade 1 pupils, full of life, reported on Thursday, 26th January 2013. By the end of the first week, the school was full house!

We take this chance to welcome everyone back to the school and wish them the best of luck and success in this Academic Year!

The Form 4 Class of 2022 has posted an impressive 10.50 mean score in the KCSE examinations results released on Friday, 20th January 2023. This is a significant improvement on the 9.88 mean score posted by the Class of 2021.

We note with gratitude that 89 out of the 90 candidates attained the minimum entry requirement to University.

The class did extremely well in all subjects with Computer Studies maintaining a perfect mean of 12! French (11.813) and Geography (11.125) were also extremely well performed. The class also registered a tremendous improvement in mathematics and the three sciences.

We wish to thank God for these results and for His benevolence. We thank the parents of the class of 2022. You proved on so many occasions during your son’s academic odyssey at Strathmore your love for your sons and the school. This love and sacrifice have borne fruit, a hundredfold! We also thank the teachers who responded so generously to the great push that this class gave them in the quest for excellence. We appreciate the effort, dedication and commitment it took to realize these results. To the chaplaincy team, the mentors, administrative and support staff: these results would not have been possible without your support.

And to the late Ryan Kigo whose gentle twinkle, like the beautiful lone star in the sky has been inspiring the class from heaven: You will remain a living icon and an inseparable part of this class, thank you!

We wish these gallant young men all the best in their next phase of life.

This year we had 2 prize giving days one for the the year 2021 and another for the year 2022. The one we had in recently on the 5th November was for 2022. It was a return to the normal prize giving day with families gathering in the sports fields together with teachers, students and auxiliary staff. The Scroll magazine had a comeback with a QR Code that also complementing it to give purchasers access to the Scroll Digital which was in DVDs in the past.

It was a great relief to get back to our traditional PGD!
